Catholic Education Sunday (22–23 August 2026)

Over the weekend of Aug 22-23, students of Catholic schools turned up in their uniforms for Mass at churches all over Singapore as the Archdiocese observed Catholic Education Sunday CES) in honour of Saint Joseph Calasanz.

A video showcasing how Catholic school culture nurtures awareness of God and integrates Catholic social teaching throughout school life, was shown at parishes after Mass. This year, our Catholic schools’ focus on imbuing the curriculum and cocurriculum with a distinctively Catholic worldview was showcased in the inaugural Angelico Art Award (Schools Edition), a collaboration between ACCS and Catholic Foundation. 52 students from 10 Catholic schools submitted 48 artworks based on the theme ‘Love means walking the talk’ (1 John 3:18).  An exhibition of these artworks was held over the Catholic Education Sunday weekend at Blessed Sacrament Church.
